About Us

Part of a growing number of upscale banquet facilities in the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge area, The Pines opened its doors in November of 2002. Each exquisite creation by our chef features only fresh, select ingredients, imaginatively prepared with every consideration to your preference. We offer the finest steaks, seafood and slowly roasted prime rib. Our chef can prepare your menu to meet any special requests or dietary restrictions.


Catering Contract

All food and beverage functions require an advance deposit in order to secure the function space. The hall rental is reflective of the number in attendance and the food and bar requirements (plus GST). We require a minimum number of 150 people and an all inclusive option for a Saturday night booking in the months of May to December and based on that the hall rental is $1200 plus GST. If guest attendance falls below 150, than surcharge of $50 per person will apply. You must have 150 guests actually attend. Friday night hall rental is reduced to $600 plus GST.

An invoice will be sent 2 weeks prior to the event for the food and bar portion. Payment for this invoice is required 1 week prior to the event in the amount of the total invoice. A final invoice will be generated within 5 business days after event. Payment must be made by cash, certified cheque or money order/draft. We no longer accept credit card payments.

Cake cutting charge is $75. Coffee required at this time will also result in additional charge of $15 per carafe.

Minimum guarantees are due by 12 noon, two business days prior to the event. If no guarantee is received by the appropriate time, the expected attendance will be used as the guarantee. You will be billed the guaranteed number or actual attendance, whichever is greater.

Only food and beverage provided by The Pines may be consumed on the premises. Due to liability insurance, the removal of any food and beverage products from the premises is prohibited.

A clean up charge may be levied if the room is not left in a condition Satisfactory to The Pines.

Prices subject to a price increase (not to exceed 10%).

Cancellation Policy

All room deposits/hall rentals are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.

In the event of a cancellation within 6 months of the function date, a cancellation fee in the amount of 50% of the estimated value of the function is payable to The Pines, unless the space is re-booked with a comparable event.
